DelDot has confirmed that the project design phase has been completed for the crosswalk being installed on Stanton Rd at the Diamond Street entrance. Construction is expected to begin in late-August and will be completed by late-September to early-October. This enhancement will allow residents to cross the road more safely to Powell Ford Park. The ballot for the 10 speed humps in Kiamensi Gardens has passed. DelDOT requires a minimum of 15% of residences to respond and 66% of responses in support for speed humps to pass. DelDOT has provided notification that the ballots have been mailed to KCA residences for the 10 proposed speed humps for Henlopen, Diamond and Binstead. Deldot completed their speed data collection for Kiamensi Gardens in early February. Please note: Typically, seven (7) days of data is collected, but at times due to equipment malfunctions, weather, etc., a shorter period of data is acceptable. Due to the consistent inclement weather in the area, three (3) days of speed data was collected.
