You know it is time for the annual decorating contest when you see decorations popping up all over the development!
You can register by sending an email to [email protected] or a text message to (302) 753-0506. In the message, please include your name and street address. Please see the rules and instructions below for more information.
- All residents within the Kiamensi Civic Association’s boundaries are eligible to participate.
- Entry is free; no costs or fees apply.
- The competition includes only exterior decorations, which include those in windows that are visible from the exterior.Â
- Only the “curb appeal” of the property, as seen from the street, will be considered in the evaluation process. Only decorations located on the street side of the property, including corner lots from both sides, will be evaluated.
- Participants agree to the publication of one or more photographs of their decorated residence exterior on Nextdoor, Facebook, and/or the Kiamensi Civic Association website (www.kiamensicivic.com). Participant agrees that they will not get any kind of payment for this posting or publication.
- Judging will be done through people’s choice voting on Facebook using pictures taken by the KCA and posted prior to Christmas.Â
- Participants should ensure that all lights, animations, and decorations are installed and operational by December 15th.
- The winner of the popular vote will receive a $50 Amazon gift card.
- The winner will be announced on December 23rd, coinciding with Santa’s visit from the Mill Creek Fire Department! The announcement will also be published on Facebook, Nextdoor, and the Kiamensi Civic Association website (www.kiamensicivic.com).
